In Gravwell, you’ll rely heavily on gravitational pulls to get you to your goal first. It’s a fun game with a bit of chaos and this year there’s a new edition to love!

It’s a tribe battle for supremacy in Ethnos

In Ethnos, by CMON, players channel the help of giants, merfolk, halflings, minotaurs, and other fantasy tribes to help them gain control of the land and gain Glory. After 3 Ages of play, whoever has the most Glory wins!

When we first saw Ethnos, it made us think about Small World – another fun area control game with a variety of fantasy creatures. But once we looked further, we realized both games are vastly different in how they play out.

It’s time to take a closer look at Ethnos, it’ll be worth your while.

Clue: The Legend of Zelda board game review

Normally we’d stay clear of various themed versions of popular board games like Clue. However, there are a few instances where we make exceptions. And this is one of those times!

Why? First of all, because our family loves playing Clue. And second, because all the guys in our family are HUGE Legend of Zelda fans!

Customizing your dice rocks in Dice Forge!

In Dice Forge players customize their dice throughout the game to make them more powerful as they compete to gain the most Glory points.

But it’s not all about the Glory points.

Players gain Gold, Sun Shards, Moon Shards, and Heroic Feat cards to increase their powers and influence their outcomes.

Abyss board game review

Abyss was published in 2014 by Bombyx and immediately got a lot a buzz in the board game realms. Some of the buzz was about the game play. But most of the buzz was about the evocative artwork.

After taking a closer look, I added it to my ‘want to play’ list and anxiously awaited a chance to play it.

That chance first came for me at SaltCon 2016 – and I loved it!
