Welcome our new game contributor – Trevor

Our creative game writer - Trevor!

For those who visited our website within the last couple days, you may have already experienced writing from our new game contributor. The recent article “TRAGEDY! Village Mourns For Loss Of Hero; Ghost Slain?” was written by our 15 year old son, Trevor.

Up until now, Trevor has mostly been responsible for all our video editing as well as a number of board game and card game video reviews – including our most watched video review – Carcassonne. But now Trevor’s creative juices are flowing and he’s excited to contribute more to our website by writing game stories and articles along those lines.

Time for a piano jam session.

He has creative juices flowing through his veins and loves to compose music and do some creative writing and poetry. When I first ask him to write for our website he was hesitant thinking that he wouldn’t know what to write about family board games. But as soon as the idea hit about writing from an “in game” perspective, his face lit up and he was off to the races.

So his first perspective was in the world of Thunderstone. We played a long game (tough monsters in the dungeon) of Thunderstone last weekend and the next morning he had rattled off the creative news article about the Chalice Paladin’s quest and subsequent destruction in the dungeon during our game.

We’d love to hear what you think of his first article.

And keep your eyes peeled because he’s planning on a weekly article (check on Wednesdays). His next is already written and is set in the game of Pandemic – a terrific cooperative family board game that we highly recommend.

Here’s to seeing more from Trevor!
