Abyss was published in 2014 by Bombyx and immediately got a lot a buzz in the board game realms. Some of the buzz was about the game play. But most of the buzz was about the evocative artwork.
After taking a closer look, I added it to my ‘want to play’ list and anxiously awaited a chance to play it.
That chance first came for me at SaltCon 2016 – and I loved it!

From toasters and TV’s to moldy sardines and X-ray machines, all sorts of items are flying around the junkyard in Trash War.
But the items thrown around aren’t the only things that make the game feel like a free-for-all. The game flow itself feels like a cafeteria food fight.

When we started reviewing family board games in 2009 a word game was published that we really loved – Word on the Street by Out of the Box Games.
Not being huge games of word games like Scrabble and Bananagrams, we were pleasantly surprised by Word on the Street.
Unfortunately, Out of the Box Games is no longer around to make more copies.
