I love the feeling of zooming all over on roller coasters and other contraptions. I also have many fond memories of lazy summer days with my cousins at state fairs with cool rides.
And on those fun summer days I’d imagine what it would be like to work at an amusement park. I’d dream of how cool it would be around all those rides every day and ride as much as I wanted to.

This past weekend I spent a lot of time playing games. And it was a lot of fun!
It was the annual board game convention in our area – SaltCON – and I was once again asked to be a judge in the new family game design competition.
And I just have to say that it was pretty cool to take a day off of work to go play games.

Well, this week I had that great experience again.
After having been on a business trip for most of this week, I returned home nice an tired. My flight home lasted most of the day and when I finally got home, I was ready to just plop down and close my eyes for a good rest.
Like many, when we first heard the board game title “Lemming Mafia” we weren’t sure what to make of it. Sure we’re familiar with the inclination of lemmings to follow each other into dangerous situations. And when we think of Mafia, we think of things dark and sinister. So what in the world could bring the two together?

I like To Do lists.
In fact, I think I like them too much. I’ve got To Do lists all over the place – in notebooks, on handouts, on sticky notes, on the computer, and on my mobile device.
Of course, all of them have their purpose:
If your boys are like our boys, they’ll be very interested in playing a game about Ninjas. They’ve had fun pretending to be ninjas since they were little – lurking around the house, seeing how hidden and sly they can be.
So when they heard about a hidden movement game based on Ninjas, they were pretty excited. And once they had the chance to play Ninja: Legend of the Scorpion Clan by AEG, the big question was – is it a good game?
