Our now 16 year son, Trevor, loves to edit our video reviews. But he doesn’t like to get in front of the camera to review the board games very often. So when he’s excited to do a review, we know it’s a game that he loves. And he was very excited to talk about Smallworld.

Do your kids ever make up crazy words – ones that you don’t have a clue what they’re saying?
(Ok – we don’t mean teenagers, because they have a language all their own anyway.)
Well, Out of the Box published a party game earlier this year that’s all about making up crazy words like Bushoidan, Funkbustoxious, Brodooing, Eurocreamo, or Puffookie.
A lot of the board games that we review and love can only be found at hobby game stores or online. Typically the games you could find at WalMart, Target, and other big box stores were only the ones put out by Hasbro and Mattel and such.
But that’s no longer the case!

We’re excited for Thanksgiving this week.
We love that Thanksgiving comes near the end of the year and before we move into the Christmas holiday and New Year resolutions. Why? Because Thanksgiving* gives us a chance to pause and think about all our blessings. And with it being near the end of the year, we naturally reflect back on our blessing for the year. It also helps us put things in perspective and in a giving mindset to those we love and those less fortunate than ourselves.
