Insert Here makes a great game insert for Star Wars: Imperial Assault.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in less than a week!

I can hardly wait.

And to keep my excitement alive and well, Star Wars: Imperial Assault is staying set up on our game table for playing a number of times this week.

It’s a game I enjoy so much it’s made my Top 10 favorite board games list.

The game also has a lot of components including the miniatures, tokens, dice, various card decks, and plenty of tiles.

It’s a lot to pull out and set up every time you want to play.

But with a great game insert, like this one from Insert Here, keeping it so well organized in the game box makes set up much simpler.

Take a look for yourself in our video review of the Star Wars: Imperial Assault game insert from Insert Here.

The Star Wars: Imperial Assault game box is very deep and comes with a cardboard insert in the box. However, it’s not a very functional insert at all. It’s more of just a divider to toss different components in general areas.

So our first step when we got the game was to grab a bunch of baggies to put the different components in. Then we’d toss them in different areas around the provided divider.

But it still meant a lot of baggies to open every time we wanted to play — as well as when it came time to put it all away.

With the game insert from Insert Here though, that’s a thing of the past!

There’s a lot of components in Star Wars: Imperial Assault.

We love how easy it is to get everything out and ready for playing.

All we have to do is remove the two small game trays that hold the dice and tokens, grab the card decks from their stations in the card insert area, and pick out our minis that are easily found in their bins.

The small trays are very useful.

There are so many different decks of cards in Star Wars: Imperial Assault that there isn’t a separate section for each deck. So we group the cards before storing them in the card tray.

But since the card backs are so distinct in the game, it’s not really hard to grab the ones you need for the game.

There’s also plenty of room in each card section if you like to sleeve your cards.

The card tray has space in the middle to stack the token trays.

The part of the game set up that can’t be simplified regardless of how you store the game is setting up the board.

Since each game of Imperial Assault requires a different map set up, finding the right map tiles will always take a little bit of time.

The small map tiles have their own tray as well.

However, even with that the Insert Here game insert helps by including a separate tray for the small map tiles.

Rather than having the many small pieces like hallway connectors, entrances, exits, and end caps mixed in with the rest of the map tiles, now they have their own area — making them easier to find and grab as well.

Token trays are very nice.

Even though the game still takes up a bunch of room on a game table, having the tokens organized neatly in a token tray helps save on game table space.

We don’t have to worry about token piles spreading all over since they’re all nicely contained in these trays next to the board.

As you can tell, we’re impressed with the Insert Here game insert for Star Wars: Imperial Assault. We also recommend you take a look at the more than 150 game inserts they offer — because it’s likely they’ll have an insert for your favorite games as well.
