Think Again party game
Think you know the right answer? You better Think Again.

Don’t you love it when you know the right answer in a trivia game?

When you hear a question you actually know the right answer to, you want to shout it out as fast as you can.

Well, what if you played a trivia game where you know ALL the answers?
Would you have as much fun?

But what if the Right answer may be the Wrong response and cost you a point?

Yep – Think Again is that kind of game.

You’ll know the answers, but you’ll have to Think Again before blurting it out because your Right answer may not be so Right.

How to Play Think Again
In Think Again, players are vying to get the most points. Players score points by giving the Correct response and lose points by giving an Incorrect response.

The catch is knowing what the Correct and Incorrect response is and being the quickest to blurt it out.

Think Again party game
Should you answer Right or Wrong? Depends on what image you see.

Think Again is made up of a deck of cards with Questions/Answers on one side and Images (expert or dunce), Icons (green circle or red square), or Words (“Right” or “Wrong”) on the other side.

The first person to be the Reader holds the stack of cards, takes the first card from the deck, and reads one of the 6 questions. As soon as the reader finishes reading the question, he/she shows the back side of the next card in the deck. All the other players now shout out their answers.

The first answer heard is taken into account and the answer is verified. If the back of the card shown shows “Right”, the Expert, or green circle, the answer needs to be a Right answer to be considered Correct. If the back of the card shows “Wrong”, the dunce, or red square, the answer needs to be a Wrong answer to be considered Correct. Anything different than that is considered Incorrect.

If the first response shouted out is Correct, that player gets a point. If the first response shouted is Incorrect, that player loses a point.

After the reader has gone through 5 questions consecutively on 5 different cards, he/she passes the deck to the next player/reader. Once every player has had a turn being the Reader, the game ends and the player with the most points wins.

Some Examples
Here are a few example questions:

Plenty of questions to keep it interesting.
  • Of which material are the pages of a book usually made? (Paper)
  • In Star Wars, Jedi use what kind of energy? (The Force)
  • We hear with which body part? (Ears)
  • Name a car brand made in Japan (Mazda, Nissan, Subaru…)

The fun of Think Again
Think Again is a fun, light party game because of the extra twist in not knowing how to answer until the back of the card is shown. Our minds naturally gravitate to responding with the right answer. When someone asks a question, we’ll blurt out the right answer – especially when it’s a race.

So the hesitation that hits when you need to give a Wrong answer causes quite the mix up. Because not only do players need to shout out a wrong answer, but it also has to be in the same area of the correct answer.

For example, if the question is about a Color – players can’t just shout out “unicorn” for their Wrong answer. They must answer with another color – it just can’t be the Right color.

How does Think Again score on the “Let’s Play Again” game meter?
Think Again scores pretty high on our “let’s play again” game meter. Because of the fun rattling through the cards shouting out questions we don’t stop with just 5 questions each. We just keep going until we’ve run through the whole deck of cards.

Snake Oil party gameIt’s a good thing there are 6 questions on each card because it also means we can jump right back into another game and not worry about repeats.

And if you do hit the same question again, there really isn’t any harm – because we all know the right answers already anyway. So asking what food Cinderella’s carriage was turned into over and over again doesn’t cause a problem. It all depends on whether we need to answer right or wrong.

And that’s a spur of the moment decision that we’ll have to pause and Think Again before shouting out our answers.
