Incan Gold – Treasure awaits
Incan Gold is a fantastic family card game.
It’s a game that’s simple to learn, easy to play and you get treasure! Gotta love it.
One reason why we think it makes a great family game is that you can play with up to 8 people. You’re not limited to just 4 players like other games we’ve rated with high scores.
Deal or No Deal in the Incan ruins
Have you every wanted to be on Deal or No Deal so you could press your luck for more reward? That’s how you’ll feel in Incan Gold. Before each card is turned over, each player decides if they will venture further. If you go further you could get more treasure, but if you wait too long to head back to camp, you’ll lose it all.
It’s that chance you take that can either win you the game or cause you to fail miserably.
Can the whole family enjoy Incan Gold?
Absolutely. Our 6 year old son became a big fan right away. With a simple decision each time – go on or not – it’s easy to understand. And after one play the consequences are obvious even at a young age.
Another thing that helps us determine whether a board game or card game is a good family game is how anxious everyone is to play it again. And the first time we played, we got in 4 games before calling it good. And wouldn’t you know it, the next day it was out on the table for more pressing our luck.
Incan Gold scores high on the “let’s play again” game meter for a couple reasons. The first is because it’s a lot of quick ‘press your luck’ fun. It’s easy to choose to go further looking for more loot. Which means it’s also easy to end up losing it to dangers. So when one game ends, it’s fun to dive in right away and see if your luck will improve. The second reason is because of how quick it is to set up. It’s very easy to dive in again.
